Edith Martin W. Oldham

She has presented her work in many areas of the southeastern US. In the immediate areas of her home state of South Carolina, the author has performed at the Moja Art Festivals, on television, radio, and in the public schools of Charleston, Berkley, Colleton and Dorchester counties.
The greatest moment of her many recitations/presentations was having the honor and privilege to present President Barack Obama with her book of poetry, The Garden of Life.
The author, for a minute, has “changed lanes” putting her poetic verses aside. Her burning desire to tell the story of a forgotten people in her hometown of St. George, SC, and surrounding areas has become the forefront of her work. What Grandma Forgot to Tell You is a history for some, and others for it is a reminiscence of disremembered places and people who had so little, yet they gave so much.
